All-in-one hp printer with two-sided printing and mobile device support

Inkjet printers have not been very successful in the past, as I may spend a month between two print jobs and it looks like the ink is drying up. If you print as little as I do, you may want to consider an inkjet printer with toner as opposed to an inkjet printer.

That said, getting the all-in-one is the most affordable solution.

Just plan this model and the ink is no longer available in 3 years, you will get a different inkjet. If you can get started with these expectations, then nothing important and less disappointment with these disposable inkjet printers.

It is slightly cheaper to buy the ink in multiple packages than to order it separately: Original HP 64 Ink Cartridges, 2 Cartridges, 2 Cartridges (X4D92AN). Also, XL black and color cartridges are available.

Using chip technology, HP prohibits the use of non-HP branded ink.

Consider this also when ordering, because you can not use your generic eBay ink in the future ... at least not without a lot of problems.

For example, my last HP device, I had to buy two full ink cartridges from HP. I could then deceive the system (the long road traveled) to take the generic cartridge more affordable. The same goes for here.

By using the charging process on the printer screen to order, you can possibly save even more ink. This ease of order is an interesting "feature" of this printer. But ... make a subscription required.

Thus, you must closely monitor your use and the frequency of your orders to avoid any accidental overstepping of orders. This is a problem for me because I print so little, that the automatic control can be potentially expensive, especially if the ink has to be "saturated", but it is drying out and therefore taking time to order more.

We are an Android home and printing on the hp printer has been easy enough. Even using HP's own application to do it has not been as painful as other proprietary applications can sometimes be. Bravo HP!

We use the copier/scanner to copy documents for our students and it works very well. It is not too difficult to align the book/paper with the glass and get a usable copy.

I tested the scan and it's pretty fast and clear. I love it.

The printer as a whole has a relatively small footprint, so it does not occupy a ton of space on the desktop (about 18 x 16 x 7 x height with the hood closed).

I like two-sided printing, which is probably the main cost of this hp printer.

Simple wireless setup and setup

I just received and configured HP Envy 6255, so we can not talk about reliability or longevity yet. However, I can tell you that setting up this printer to work wirelessly with two iPads and an iMac could not be easier. The app guides you step by step in a way that the person least familiar with computers on the planet (me) has done without hassle. The quality and print speed are better than those of my old Canon printer, which would not only not work wirelessly with my Apple machines, but would not even recognize the latest IOS. I can not say how happy I am to have this HP printer by my side!

You must provide a credit card number before installing the printer

What I do not like about this printer is the minute you put the ink cartridges into the printer. HP knows that the computer is operational and that you are connected to its HP INSTANT INK program. The program is "free" for the first 90 days and if you do not cancel it within this period, you will be billed monthly. You must insert a credit card when you install the printer (it is a WIRELESS printer), otherwise, the printer will not install. HP has his hands on this printer. The only way out is Google's "How to disable HP Instant Ink" and follow the instructions. However, whenever HP installs an automatic update, HP connects the HP Instant Ink program again, and then you need to turn it back on and off again. The HP Instant Ink program allows HP to sell you ink. The printer detects when it needs ink, informs HP, and HP sends you ink before you arrive. As to me, I like to buy ink cartridges only if I really need it.
